Outdoor Learning Space (Memorial Garden)

We sincerely thank all the generous donors and supporters who helped bring our outdoor learning space to completion. Because of your kindness and commitment, this space is now fully accessible for students to use during therapies, learning activities, and moments of connection and growth. Beyond its educational purpose, this outdoor space also stands as a heartfelt memorial honoring the lives we have lost, creating a place of reflection, hope, and remembrance for our community.

My vision

As the sibling of a brother with special needs, I’ve always felt the importance of bringing a more diverse perspective to this community. While the special needs community has gained more visibility in recent years, I believe there is still a need for greater representation of the wide range of unique conditions people experience. When people learn about my brother, their first question is often, “Is he autistic?” Explaining his unique condition is challenging because most people have no frame of reference to truly understand. This is why I am passionate about raising awareness—not only about the different conditions that children with special needs may have, but also about the experiences their siblings go through.
